8th Grade Computers

1 SEMESTER – ½ CREDIT (18 WEEKS)
Students will review the keyboard with correct posture and finger placements. Timed writings will be incorporated as well as basic computer care and use. Word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and electronic presentations will also be studied. We will spend time learning digital citizenship and basic computer parts and use. There will also be an introduction to one-drive and one-note.

When we complete timed writings students scores will be calculated as follows:
50 WPM or greater = 25/25
45-50 WPM = 24/25
40-45 WPM = 23/25
35-40 WPM = 22/25
30-35 WPM = 21/25
25-30 WPM = 20/25
20-25 WPM = 19/25
15-20 WPM = 18/25
