School Counselor Sasha Heiken
Hello all!

Thank you for visiting my page!  I am the K-12 School Counselor at Milnor Public Schools and Sundale Colony School.  This is my eighth year in this position and I'm excited to say that I still feel like I'm learning something new everyday.  It's my wish that the students I work with will also strive to be life-long learners. I enjoy working with students of all ages to assist them in developing academic, social and career skills.

I am employed through the Southeast Region Career and Technology Center and am contracted to work at Milnor School District.  This provides me with the opportunity to work with other school counselors employed through the Center and our students are able to attend the Vo-tech classes through the Center.

I graduated from the University of Mary in April 2017 and I'm looking forward to focusing on my goals for the counseling program.  Before moving to North Dakota, I taught Kindergarten, First, and Second grades, as well as worked as a Parent Educator with Early Head Start for three years after attending Upper Iowa University and majoring in Early Childhood Education.

When I’m not at school, I can usually be found drinking a cup of coffee, reading, playing with my four-legged children or gardening.

If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask!  My email and the school phone numbers are above.
