MPS Technology Page

Hello,

I am Rick Olthoff, Technology Coordinator at Milnor Public School. I will be using this area to explain changes that are going on with our software or hardware, and I will also be including links on how to help more effectively and easily integrate these tools for use by our teachers, students, and parents.

Thank You,

Rick Olthoff

Setting up Office 365

Need to know how to set up your E-mails to forward from Sendit to Office 365 while we’re in transition? I’ve created a page with the information to help accomplish that in a few different ways, which can be viewed —-> HERE.

Password Registration

After you’re set up, and are ready, you can go through the password registration process –>HERE If there is a popup window that appears, don’t worry. You will want to enter your new K12 account login and password within that window. Once you’re done with this, this will allow you to reset your password if you forget it, and after the change to k12.nd.us, will be the ONLY way you can get your password reset. I won’t be able to change your passwords anymore.

Resetting your Password

Once you’ve registered your password, you can reset it at the Password Reset Portal, which also allows you to change it. Keep in mind that you have to change this password every 6 months under the k12.nd.us account policy.

Get MS Office on your devices

One benefit of the change to Office 365 is that each user has 5 free licenses of Microsoft Office. This means you can install Office on your home PC, your iPad, your laptop, whatever – up to the license max. If you don’t want to download and install Microsoft Office, that’s fine, as long as you’re logged in to your Office 365 account you’ll still have access to the online versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
